The Available Games page shows all upcoming games with open positions that match your qualifications. You can browse games in three different views, narrow results with filters, and claim positions directly.

Before you start

You need at least one verified qualification to see available games. If you do not have any qualifications yet, visit your Qualifications page to submit one.

Browsing available games

When you open the Available Games page, you will see your current qualifications listed near the top of the page (for example, "Referee - Level 2"). These determine which games and positions appear for you.

Choosing a view

Use the toggle buttons at the top of the page to switch between three views:

  1. List -- Shows games as cards stacked vertically. Each card displays the date, time, teams, venue, league, division, and all open positions you can claim. This is the default view.
  2. Week -- Displays a seven-day timeline (Monday through Sunday) with games plotted at their scheduled times. Use the arrow buttons to move between weeks, or select This Week to jump back to the current week.
  3. Month -- Shows a traditional calendar grid. Navigate between months with the arrow buttons, or select Today to return to the current month. Each day cell shows up to three games; if more are scheduled, a "+N more" label appears.

tipIn Week and Month views, click on a game to open a popup with the available positions and a **Claim** button for each one.

Filtering games

Below the view toggle, you will find a filter bar with several options:

  • League -- Select a specific league to show only its games. Changing the league resets the division filter.
  • Division -- Choose a division. Divisions are grouped by league in the dropdown.
  • Venue -- Filter to games at a specific venue.
  • Positions -- Toggle one or more position buttons to show only games with openings for those positions (for example, show only games that need a Referee).

A game count on the right side of the filter bar tells you how many games match your current filters. To remove all filters at once, select Clear.

Understanding a game card (List view)

Each game card in List view contains:

  • Date and time -- The scheduled start and end time of the game.
  • Teams -- Home team vs. away team.
  • Venue -- Where the game is played.
  • League and Division -- Shown if the game belongs to a league.
  • Claim deadline -- If set, a countdown tells you how much time remains to claim a position (for example, "2d 5h remaining"). After this deadline passes, you can no longer claim.
  • Available Positions -- Each open position shows its name, pay rate, and the number of open slots. A Claim button appears next to each position.
  • Notes -- Any additional information from the assigner appears at the bottom of the card.

Claiming a position

  1. Find the game you want to officiate.
  2. Locate the position you want under Available Positions.
  3. Select Claim.
  4. A confirmation dialog appears showing the position name and pay rate. Review the details.
  5. Select Claim Position to confirm.

After claiming, the page refreshes and the game is removed from your available games list. You can find it on your My Assignments page.

tipIf a game has a claim deadline, make sure to claim before it expires. The deadline and remaining time are shown on the game card.

When no games are available

If you see a message saying "No available games at this time," this could mean:

  • There are no published games with open positions right now.
  • Your qualifications do not match any open positions. Check your Qualifications page.
  • You are already assigned to all eligible games.

If you have active filters and see "No games match your filters," select Clear Filters to show all available games again.
